Vanishing Point
Westmere, Auckland
A long thin sliver of space meant a tight brief for a client who wanted a real garden and a lawn. The key design move was to remove a proposed retaining wall and to created a steeply sloping vertical garden that allowed for deep planting composition as well as space for little feet to enjoy the pleasure of grass
A single winding curve allowed the design to create depth of space with little pockets to sit within and to draw the viewers eye to the beautiful street tree that offered a wonderful borrowed view.
